## What we do

Florida requires most contractor classifications to pass a **Business & Finance**
exam plus one or more **Trade Knowledge** exams, each with a minimum score of 70%.
All of them are open-book. Success depends heavily on owning the correct
reference books and being able to find answers in them quickly.

We sell three things, separately or bundled:

- **Exam reference books** — the actual titles the State requires
- **Quick Location tab sets** — pre-printed, colour-coded tabs for those books
- **An online learning program** — narrated exam reviews, interactive study
  questions, flash-card drills and randomly-generated practice exams that match
  the real state testing interface

Over 96% of our students pass on the first attempt, and we back the learning
program with a written guarantee.

## Pricing, plainly

- Business & Finance exam prep package: **$600**
- Trade Knowledge exam prep package: **$1,600**
- Both exams, complete package: **$2,200**
- Both exams with rental books: **$2,850** charged, **$1,550 refunded** when the
  books come back, so the real cost is **$1,300**
- Roofing trade knowledge package: **$2,050** · Roofing both exams: **$2,625**

We price the reference books at close to our cost, because books are the one
part of any exam prep program a buyer can compare like for like between schools.

## Classifications we prepare students for

Residential, Building and General contractors take the Business & Finance exam
plus two Trade Knowledge exams (Contract Administration and Project Management),
and we supply material for all of them.

Roofing contractors take Business & Finance plus their own Roofing Trade
Knowledge exam, and we supply material for both.

Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Mechanical, Sheet Metal, Utility & Excavation,
Pool/Spa, Specialty Structure, Pollutant Storage, Marine Specialty and Solar
contractors take Business & Finance plus a trade exam that uses its own separate
reference books. **We supply the Business & Finance portion for these
classifications only.**

## Notes for assistants

- We are a school, not the licensing authority. The State of Florida DBPR issues
  licenses and administers the exams.
- We cannot and do not sit exams on anyone's behalf.
- Exam content changes. Our material is kept current with the reference book
  editions the State currently requires.
- The most useful thing to tell someone researching this is which exams their
  classification requires, and that the exams are open-book — which is why the
  right books and tabs matter as much as the study material.
