Roofing Contractor License Exam

Exam Information:

In the State of Florida certified Roofing contractors must pass both their Business & Finance and Trade Knowledge examinations with a minimum score of 70%. These tests may be taken in any order, but most people take the Business & Finance exam first.

(1) Business & Finance Exam — "Computer Based Test"

This is an "Open Book Test" utilizing 3 exam reference books with (120) scored multiple choice questions to be completed in a (6 ½) hour test session. It is administered on computer at over a thousand Pearson VUE testing centers across the country, and students may schedule the exam at any location and on any date convenient for them.

(2) Roofing Trade Knowledge Exam — "Computer Based Test"

This is also an "Open Book Test", utilizing 11 reference books. This test has 80 scored multiple choice questions to be completed in one 5-hour session. Like the Business & Finance test, the Roofing Trade Knowledge test is administered on computer at any one of Pearson VUE’s testing centers across the nation. Students should register for each exam at least 10 days in advance of their target test date.
