Florida State Roofing Contractors must pass a Business & Finance exam plus a Roofing Trade Knowledge examination with a minimum score of 70%. These tests may be taken in any order, but since some of the Business & Finance books and study material are required for both exams, it is much easier to prepare and pass this exam first.
This is an "Open Book Test" utilizing 4 exam reference books with 120 multiple choice questions to be completed in 6 ½ hours. This test is administered on computer at over a thousand testing centers across the country and students may schedule to take this exam at any location and on any date convenient for them.
Our exam prep software has been designed to uniquely simulate the State testing interface so that students may practice taking tests on computer which are just like the real State exam. This familiarity gives our students a tremendous advantage on exam day.

This is also an "Open Book Test" which utilize the 2 exam reference books used on the Business & Finance exam along with 6 additional reference books. This test has 80 multiple choice questions to be completed in 4 ¾ hours. This test is offered every even month in Tallahassee, Orlando, and Miami. Students must register at least 30 days prior to the testing date they desire.
